The President of the Regional Government of the Azores, José Manuel Bolieiro, is participating this morning in an open lecture on 'Autonomy and Centrality' at the University of Madeira (UMa). The session, part of the Master's program in Education and Community Development, takes place in the Senate room and is moderated by Liliana Rodrigues.
Bolieiro will address issues of autonomy and centrality based on the experience of the Autonomous Region of the Azores. The open lecture aims to be a space for reflection and dialogue on these themes, with the Azorean president discussing the relationship between island territories and decision-making centers.
The President of the Regional Government of the Azores arrived in Madeira on Sunday and, in addition to the lecture, is expected to meet with the President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque. The meeting will cover pending issues with the Republic, regional finances, air mobility, and expenses in Education and Health.
