The candidacy of Madeira's Bernardo Trindade for the presidency of the Portuguese Tourism Confederation (CTP) has already secured declarations of support representing approximately 60% of the organization's electoral base.
The project is backed by various sector associations, including hospitality, accommodation, car rental, casinos, and golf, as well as regional and tourism promotion entities across the country. Major hotel groups and strategic companies like ANA Aeroportos and SATA Air Açores have also expressed their support.
With these endorsements in place, the campaign is entering a phase of direct consultation with CTP associates, with meetings planned in the Algarve, Porto, and Lisbon to gather input for the electoral program. The aim is to foster an open presidency focused on cohesion and dialogue.
