The Madeira Bus Company (CAM) is presenting its public transport electrification project today at 4 PM at its facilities in Nazaré, Funchal. The initiative includes the acquisition of eight 100% electric buses and the installation of eight charging stations.
The ceremony will be attended by the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, and other regional officials. This project will cover the Porto Santo lines and the Aerobus service.
Earlier in the day, at 3 PM, IVBAM will mark the return of two barrels of Madeira Wine that traveled aboard the Sagres training ship, with the unsealing of the historic Vinho da Roda (Wine of the Wheel).
The Sagres training ship arrives in Funchal today and will be open to visitors between 2 PM and 6 PM until Wednesday.
