PCP Organizes Horn-Blowing Protest Against Rising Fuel Prices

The Portuguese Communist Party (PCP) will hold a "buzinão" (horn-blowing protest) against the rising fuel prices in Madeira and Porto Santo. The event is scheduled for September 17th at 6:00 PM on Avenida do Mar, next to the Regional Assembly.

The party states that the increase in gasoline and diesel prices is "increasingly weighing on people's pockets," posing an additional burden for families, workers, and small business owners. The PCP urges public participation to "say enough to the increases" and demand measures to protect the region's residents.

The party criticizes the Regional Government for allegedly failing to provide effective responses or utilize autonomous instruments to defend the population's interests against the rising cost of living caused by fuel price hikes.
