The Funchal City Council is organizing another edition of European Mobility Week from September 16 to 22. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable, safe, accessible, and inclusive urban mobility.
This year, the campaign focuses on the theme 'Mobility for All – Justice between Generations', highlighting the need to ensure that people of different ages and with diverse needs can enjoy more accessible and safer travel and urban spaces. The slogan is 'Combine and Move!', encouraging the public to rethink habits and try more sustainable mobility alternatives.
The municipal program includes awareness activities, initiatives for children and youth, actions promoting sports and active mobility, and moments of reflection on the future of urban mobility, seeking to involve the community and increase awareness about the use of public spaces.
