Funchal will host another edition of European Mobility Week, from September 16 to 22. The initiative by the Funchal City Council aims to raise awareness about the importance of more sustainable, safe, accessible, and inclusive urban mobility.
With the theme "Mobility for all – Justice between generations," the 2026 campaign highlights the need to ensure people of different ages and with diverse needs can enjoy more accessible and safer urban travel and spaces. The slogan "Combine and Move!" encourages the public to rethink travel habits and try more sustainable alternatives.
The municipal program will include awareness initiatives on sustainable mobility and road safety, activities for children and youth, actions promoting sports and active mobility, and moments of reflection on the future of urban mobility.
