The Municipal Council of Câmara de Lobos will distribute 11,000 euros among 22 educational establishments and institutions in the municipality. The support is for entities awarded the Green Flag, within the scope of the Eco-Schools program.
The aim is to recognize work in environmental education and encourage the continuation of projects for the 2026/2027 school year. Each entity will receive 500 euros, in cash or didactic material, to apply to program activities. Half of the institutions will be financially supported and the other half with materials.
The initiative, presented by the Environment councilor, Nuno Neves, values the involvement of students and institutions in promoting environmentally responsible behaviors. This year, all schools in the municipality were covered, including nurseries, preschools, vocational schools, and senior university programs.
