The Municipal Chamber of Câmara de Lobos has launched the photography contest “A Look at the Third Age,” as part of the International Day of Older Persons celebrations.
The initiative aims to stimulate creativity and invite the community to explore new perspectives on aging. Participants over 16 years old are challenged to capture images that portray moments, stories, and experiences of older adults, promoting a human and diverse representation of this stage of life.
Registration is open from September 7 to 18 via an online form, with prizes for the top three finishers. The full regulations are available on the Câmara de Lobos Municipal Chamber website. The municipal celebrations for the International Day of Older Persons, marked on October 1, will take place at the Madeira Press Museum.
