Carlos Ramos calls for unity to build new PSP police station in Ponta do Sol

Carlos Ramos, a PSD municipal deputy, has called for a united effort to realize the new PSP police station in Ponta do Sol. He argued that the project, considered essential for public safety, should rise above political disagreements and electoral interests.

Ramos emphasized the need for the involved entities to overcome differences and work towards making the investment viable, stating that "security cannot be a partisan issue." The Social Democrat highlighted that residents expect a response ensuring greater police proximity and intervention capacity in the municipality, warning against shifting positions based on political circumstances or for electoral gain.

During the solemn session celebrating Ponta do Sol's 525th anniversary, the deputy also praised the first months of Rui Marques's executive, noting a "clear will to change, reorganize, and bring" municipal management closer to the population's needs. He cited the reorganization of municipal services, new social and educational support, and increased funding for parish councils as positive measures.
