Iran's Revolutionary Guard Navy announced on Tuesday the seizure of a United States unmanned submarine vehicle (drone) near the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Iranian media, the equipment is reportedly a Dive-LD model, manufactured by Anduril Industries. As of now, there has been no independent confirmation of the incident nor official statements from the Pentagon or the US Navy.
Tehran described the operation as "complex, intelligence, and tactical" and promised to release images of the drone. The incident occurs amid ongoing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital maritime route for energy transport.
