CDS-PP Machico celebrated the 32nd anniversary of Caniçal's elevation to town status, calling for "investment and concrete responses" for the parish.
Roberto Silva, vice-president of the party in Machico and a native of Caniçal, believes the anniversary should prompt reflection on the future, with priorities including housing, fishing, security, and creating opportunities for young people. The party also emphasized the need to enhance public spaces and fishing traditions.
Silva stressed the importance of creating conditions for younger generations to remain in the parish and urged for strengthened prevention and security measures, particularly for youth, to address drug-related issues.
