CDS-PP Madeira has reaffirmed its commitment to valuing work and increasing incomes in the region. The party emphasizes that labor policy should not solely focus on the minimum wage but encompass the entire salary scale and the business sector.
Miguel Correia, a member of CDS-PP Madeira's Regional Political Commission, highlighted the principle that "working must pay off." Following the inclusion of a regional minimum wage increase in the government program, the party calls for "climbing the salary scale" for experienced and qualified workers, and for defending the middle class.
The CDS-PP believes that improved salary conditions are linked to business competitiveness. "We want strong, competitive companies capable of paying better wages to their employees," stated Correia. The party also advocates for supporting the growth and investment of businesses, particularly smaller ones, and for valuing public administration staff.
