The CDS-PP Funchal branch returned to the Funchal Ecological Park last weekend for a new reforestation action under its "CDS em Acção" initiative. Participants planted 128 plants, continuing work begun in March.
The action brought together party members and supporters. The party says it intends to keep volunteer activities going throughout the year.
The park covers about 10% of the municipality's area and was heavily affected by past wildfires, with 96% of its area impacted, making reforestation an ongoing task. The party plans further volunteer and environmental awareness initiatives during the year.
