The parish of Ribeira Seca, located in Machico, will celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Mercy, its patroness, on Sunday, September 13.
The festivities will include a procession departing from the Amparo chapel at 4:30 PM, followed by a solemn mass at 5:00 PM, presided over by Dom José Dionísio Gouveia. The procession will take place after the mass.
Preparatory novenas are scheduled from September 8 to 10. On Saturday, September 12, there will be a recitation of the rosary at 7:15 PM and a mass at 8:00 PM. The evening's entertainment will feature the Grupo de Cantares da Ribeira and Álvaro Florença. On Sunday, the Grupo de Folclore de Machico and the ensemble Montereal will perform.
