CH Criticizes JPP and IL Over Ferry Link Proposals

Hugo Nunes of Chega (CH) has strongly criticized the proposals put forward by Juntos Pelo Povo (JPP) and the Liberal Initiative (IL) concerning the ferry link between Madeira and the mainland.

Nunes described the parties' actions as "political cowardice," accusing JPP of failing to present its proposals in the national parliament, despite having a representative there. He contrasted this with CH's record of submitting and enacting proposals nationally. The IL was criticized for "constitutional cynicism."

The CH deputy also commented on the PSD's promise to establish a ferry line, deeming it "just a promise" and accusing the party of "cronyism" with "the largest national container operator."
