João Pedro Vieira Mocks 'Return' of Calado and Passos Coelho

João Pedro Vieira criticizes the return of Pedro Calado and Pedro Passos Coelho to the political scene, calling them 'ghosts' and questioning their motives.

João Pedro Vieira, former secretary-general of PS-Madeira and councilor in the Funchal Municipal Assembly, commented on the recent controversy involving Pedro Calado and the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque.

Vieira mocked what he called Pedro Calado's "return" to Madeiran politics, comparing him to Pedro Passos Coelho in Portugal. He questioned Calado's sudden discovery of the "regime's" weaknesses after years of "complicity," suggesting Calado had been "hand in hand with the powers that be."

The doctor also criticized Calado's ties to communication agencies working for Albuquerque's government and associations linked to João Carlos Berardo, in addition to questioning the origin of his wealth. Vieira compared Calado to Montenegro, describing him as a "businessman" who was "publicly disrespected by the 'father'."

Albuquerque, in turn, reacted to Calado's statements about the application of wealth in Madeira, stating he did not need "guesses" as the government has its own direction.
