CHEGA councilwoman Manuela Gonçalves has highlighted the condition of several public spaces in the municipality of Santa Cruz, criticizing the lack of cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep in various areas of the parish.
According to Gonçalves, the reality on the ground shows degraded structures, a lack of maintenance, and abandoned surrounding areas, which contrasts with the JPP's electoral promises from 2025. The councilwoman pointed out that the problem extends beyond the town center, affecting paths and municipal roads that require attention.
Manuela Gonçalves also mentioned resident concerns about an increase in rat colonies, linking the situation to sanitation and public health issues. CHEGA demands that the Municipal Chamber consider the entire parish, not just the central areas, and criticizes the lack of results after 13 years of JPP governance, vowing to continue monitoring and demanding improvements.
