The Chega parliamentary group in Madeira has requested clarification from the Regional Government regarding the management of IHM – Madeira Housing Investments. The party questions the criteria for allocating housing, the supervision of these properties, and the progress of requalification works in social housing neighborhoods.
Chega's parliamentary leader, Hugo Nunes, alleged opacity in tender procedures and the removal of families from waiting lists. The party also raises concerns about the underoccupation of public housing units, citing small households occupying larger apartments while numerous families struggle to find accommodation.
Furthermore, Chega seeks details on the execution and costs of works in the Nogueira (Camacha) and Argentina (Câmara de Lobos) neighborhoods, having submitted a detailed legislative request covering these and other issues.
