The accumulation of garbage and debris in the drains on Avenida Zarco, near São Lourenço Palace, is generating bad odors, representing a public health hazard.
This situation requires urgent cleaning and unblocking of the drainage grates. During rainy days, the problem worsens with water retention, accelerating the decomposition of organic waste and mixing rainwater with accumulated debris. Given the avenue's steep slope and high pedestrian traffic, clogged drains can quickly lead to flooding and the spread of unsanitary conditions.
