The event featured speeches by the Mayor of Funchal, Jorge Carvalho, and the President of the Competition Authority, Nuno Cunha Rodrigues. A workshop followed, focusing on topics such as competition and business associations, labor agreements, collusion in public procurement, and competition and sustainability.
The aim was to highlight the benefits of competition and the Competition Authority's role in safeguarding consumer welfare, with practical examples of infringements and risks. Jorge Carvalho emphasized the session's educational value in empowering regional stakeholders on these issues.
