The electronic platform for the Territorial Continuity Mechanism, formerly the Social Mobility Subsidy, began processing refund requests for travel costing over 400 euros on Thursday. This allows for full reimbursement of amounts, without a maximum ceiling, as stipulated by current law.
This technical change was confirmed by Pedro Araújo, administrator of the Bravatour travel agency, who considers the technical aspect resolved. However, he emphasizes that the most crucial part of the new law, enabling travel agencies to handle the entire process for passengers, has yet to be implemented.
Araújo welcomed the platform update but stressed that the full application of the law, effective since June 6, depends on the completion of the second phase. He also noted that while functional, the platform is more intuitive for industry professionals than for the average user, though travel agencies will continue to provide support.
