The Regional Government Council approved several association contracts to support staff remuneration in educational establishments and family assistance, with a global limit of 661,703 euros for the 2025/2026 academic year.
A program contract of 10,000 euros was also approved for the Cattle Breeders Cooperative of the Madeira Mountains, aiming to support its activities in 2026. Additionally, extraordinary financial support was established for farmers affected by the "Claudia" and "Emilia" depressions, excluding banana cultivation which will receive specific aid.
Other decisions include the declaration of public utility for expropriations needed for river regularization and road rehabilitation works, as well as the expropriation of land for the Cancela Business Park. Authorizations were also granted for land sales and disposals in Caniço and Porto Santo, alongside a vote of commendation for canoeists and a cultural association.
