A man and a woman, both 36 years old and of Guinean nationality, were arrested by the PSP in Porto Santo on suspicion of drug trafficking.
The arrests took place on Wednesday, September 16th, during an operation by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Porto Santo Police Station. The man was caught in the act during a drug transaction with a consumer. Following his arrest, a search of the suspect's residence was conducted, where his partner was found.
Officers seized 461 doses of hashish, 147 doses of cocaine, and over 17 grams of a substance of undetermined nature. €170 in cash, a precision scale, and two mobile phones were also confiscated. The couple was brought before a judge on September 21st, who ordered their pre-trial detention at Funchal Prison.
