The Funchal Municipal Council unanimously approved a "Vote of Commendation" for the artistic company "Dançando com a Diferença," celebrating its 25 years of existence and recognizing its journey in the performing arts.
The council highlighted the company's contribution to contemporary dance, inclusion, the internationalization of Portuguese creation, and the democratization of access to culture, emphasizing its development of inclusive dance concepts and international recognition.
The "Vote of Commendation" also notes the company's impact on Portuguese contemporary dance, collaborations with national and international creators, and its international reach with over 40 artistic creations presented in more than 25 countries, helping to change the social perception of people with disabilities.
