The Madeira Electricity Company, SA (EEM) has announced that there will be interruptions in the electricity supply in certain areas of Câmara de Lobos on September 25 and 26, 2026. These interruptions are due to conservation and renovation work on the distribution network.
On September 25, the outage will occur between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM, affecting Beco da Figueira and Rua da Portada. The following day, September 26, supply will be interrupted from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM in the following areas: Caminho da Fonte da Rocha, Caminho das Preces (numbers 51 to 106), Rua de São Cândido, and Avenida Nova Cidade (numbers 11 to 29).
EEM warns that power may be restored before the scheduled times and, for safety reasons, conductors should be considered permanently live. The company requests the understanding of consumers for any inconvenience caused and provides the toll-free number 800 221 187 for Customer Support.
