The Empresa de Electricidade da Madeira, SA (EEM) has announced that there will be interruptions in the electricity supply due to maintenance and renovation work on the distribution network.
In Funchal, in the Sé area, the interruption will occur on June 23, 2026, between 00:00 and 06:00 hours, affecting Rua Esmeraldo, numbers 44, 45, 46, 51, 52, 53, and 54.
In Calheta, in Paul do Mar, the power outage is scheduled for the same day, June 23, 2026, from 09:00 to 12:00 hours. Affected areas include Estrada da Fajã da Ovelha, Estrada Regional 223, Sítio da Igreja, and Porto Como.
EEM warns that power may be restored at any time during the indicated periods and advises that conductors should be considered permanently live for safety reasons. The company requests the understanding of consumers for any inconvenience caused.
