Empresa de Electricidade da Madeira, SA (EEM) has announced that electricity supply will be interrupted in various areas of Funchal due to maintenance and renovation work on the distribution network.
In Santa Maria Maior, the interruption will take place on August 2, 2026, between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Affected areas include Caminho do Terço (up to number 80), Caminho da Doca, Impasse da Estrada da Boa Nova (up to number 116), and Travessas, Vereda, and Beco do Transval.
In the Santo António parish, the power outage is scheduled for August 4, 2026, during two periods: from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, affecting Rua Dr. Gastão Deus Figueira. EEM warns that as power may be restored during these times, conductors should be considered permanently live for safety reasons and requests consumers' understanding for any inconvenience caused.
