The process for the provision of a second aerial unit for the Region, promised by the State, is in the final preparation phase. The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, stated that the protocol between the two executives has already been signed.
The financing for the aircraft and its crew will be fully covered by the State. However, Albuquerque did not provide specific dates for the aerial unit's arrival, explaining that its deployment depends on the conclusion of the public tender conducted by the Ministry of Defence, through the Air Force.
"As soon as it is awarded, it will come here," guaranteed the president, emphasizing the importance of the State assuming this responsibility as per the commitment made.
