The Madeira Electricity Company, SA (EEM) has announced that there will be an interruption in the electricity supply in various areas of the island.
The outages are scheduled for August 10, 2026. In Caniço (Santa Cruz), the power will be cut from 08:30 to 11:00 AM, affecting Caminho Velha da Tendeira and Vereda Mestre Nunes.
In Funchal, specifically in Santa Maria Maior, the interruption is planned from 08:30 AM to 12:30 PM, on Rua do Bom Sucesso. EEM requests consumers' understanding for any inconvenience and warns that conductors should be considered permanently live for safety reasons.
