The Madeira Electricity Company, SA (EEM) has announced that the electricity supply will be interrupted in various locations on the island between October 13 and 15, 2026. These interruptions are due to maintenance and renovation work on the distribution network.
Affected areas include Campanário (Ribeira Brava), Calheta, and several parishes in Funchal (São Martinho, São Gonçalo, and Sé). The outage times vary, lasting between one and three hours depending on the specific area.
The EEM advises consumers to consider conductors permanently live for safety reasons, as power may be restored before the scheduled end times. The company requests understanding for any inconvenience caused.
