The Espada Preto Festival started yesterday afternoon, August 6th, in Câmara de Lobos Bay, and will run until Sunday.
The event commenced with a tribute to fishermen, followed by the first show-cooking session featuring chef Reinaldo Sousa. The black scabbardfish, the main attraction of the festival organized by the Parish Council of Câmara de Lobos, can be enjoyed in various preparations at the different stalls.
Musical entertainment for the opening day was provided by singer Augusto Canário, performing from 11:00 PM. Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries, Nuno Maciel, attended the inauguration, alongside Mayor Celso Bettencourt and Parish Council President Filipe Freitas.
