Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters were activated on Tuesday afternoon for a door opening incident at a residence in Funchal.
The incident occurred on Rua Encosta Pico de São João, where a couple, both around 70 years old, found themselves unable to enter their home. The man was left stranded outside on the balcony after the door accidentally locked, while the woman was on the street.
Two firefighters, supported by a vehicle, were dispatched to the scene and used a specialized tool to resolve the situation.
