Foreign workers in Madeira contributed more than 4 million euros to Social Security, while receiving 527,000 euros in social benefits.
Their contributions saw a 65% increase over two years, a rate significantly higher than the national average. These figures were highlighted in a report by Diário de Notícias da Madeira.
