Francisco Miranda, an athlete from Clube Naval do Funchal (CNF), secured a notable 5th place in the 3 km Knockout event at the National Open Water Summer Championship.
The competition took place at Praia Fluvial do Trízio in Sertã on June 27th and 28th. Miranda had also performed well on the first day, finishing 5th in the AA18/19 age group and 14th overall in the 5 km race.
As a team, Clube Naval do Funchal finished 9th in the national open water championship, combining results from Porto Santo and Trizio, marking their first appearance in the national top-10.
