Funchal will be one of ten Portuguese cities simultaneously hosting the IV Peace Walk, promoted by the civic movement Portugal pela Paz. The event is scheduled for this Sunday at 4:30 PM and aims to bring together people from diverse backgrounds in a public demonstration for peace.
The walk, also taking place in cities like Lisbon, Porto, and Coimbra, will begin with a period of silence, followed by a silent procession. The objective is to convey a message rejecting war and advocating for a more conscious and respectful society.
Organizers believe world peace starts with inner peace and relationships, emphasizing that inner transformation is crucial for lasting peace. Participation is open to all, with an option to join online via Zoom.
