The Funchal Municipal Library will host a session focused on traditional Madeiran music at its Reading Club on Wednesday, September 30th, at 6:00 PM.
The event will highlight the collections of Xarabanda, offering insights into Madeira's traditional music and the work involved in collecting and preserving the region's heritage. Rui Camacho, a photographer and active figure in cultural preservation, will participate to share reflections on this cultural expression.
Rui Camacho, co-founder of the Xarabanda Association, has a notable history in safeguarding Madeiran culture, including publishing articles and works on the subject. Admission to the session is free.
