The Atlantic Culture Promotion Agency (APCA-Madeira) will present a new cine-concert at the Teatro Baltazar Dias in Funchal on September 30th, starting at 7:30 PM.
The event commemorates the centenary of the silent film 'O Fauno das Montanhas', directed by Manuel Luiz Vieira in 1926. This initiative is part of the centennial celebrations for the historic film.
The original soundtrack was composed by Madeira-based composer Jorge Maggiore specifically for this project. The cine-concert stems from the restoration and digitization of the film's copy held by the Portuguese Cinematheque, blending cinematic heritage, contemporary musical creation, and historical celebration.
