Funchal now has a Farmers' Desk, open on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:30, in refurbished premises on Rua João de Deus, next to the main entrance of Escola Secundária Francisco Franco.
The centre brings together support services for the agricultural and livestock sectors, which were previously spread across different bodies. It has seven service counters and step-free access.
Services include help with Single Application (Pedido Único) submissions and other support schemes, updating agricultural land records, and information on available aid and payments. The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries says 3,052 Single Applications were submitted through the service in the 2026 campaign.
