The Municipality of Funchal is organizing the second edition of the event “Longevity in the First Person” today at the Colégio dos Jesuítas. The gathering aims to foster reflection on the challenges and opportunities of aging, value the role of the elderly, and promote a positive and participatory view of longevity.
At the opening session, the CMF president highlighted the event's importance for municipal policies promoting active life and mentioned initiatives like the ‘Taxi +75’ program, which supports elderly transportation.
The event features panel discussions on sharing life experiences, health, innovation, and technology, and combating ageism, with participation from experts, professionals, and inspiring personalities.
