Children and young people will perform a flashmob in Funchal to celebrate 50 years of Madeira's Autonomy, featuring dance and music inspired by Madeiran identity.

A flashmob event named "Garouta do Calhau" is scheduled for tomorrow, July 24th, at 12:20 PM, on the Central Plaza of Avenida Arriaga, in front of Funchal's Cathedral.

The event is part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Autonomous Region of Madeira's autonomy. It will feature children and young performers, bringing dance, music, and joy to celebrate the island's culture and traditions.

Organized with support from the Sé Parish Council, the flashmob also serves as a moment of gratitude to the Region and entities that support the Garouta do Calhau's work with children, youth, and families.
