The first edition of the "Jazz em Festa" festival, promoted by the Câmara Municipal de Câmara de Lobos, culminates next Saturday, July 25th, with an evening dedicated to jazz, Madeiran music, and 20th-century classics.
Street performances in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos and the city center were well-received, with Estrond Ilha bringing rhythm and joy to the streets. Now, the Bay of Câmara de Lobos will host two concerts.
Starting at 8:00 PM, the Sexteto de Jazz Melro Preto presents "Jazz da Madeira – Obras e Autores," focusing on regional musical creation. At 9:30 PM, the Orquestra de Jazz do Funchal, with singer João Ribeiro, will pay tribute to Frank Sinatra and Cole Porter.
The event, with free admission, aims to strengthen Câmara de Lobos' cultural commitment and highlight local artists.
