A German citizen, around 70 years old, was found dead in his home in the municipality of Ponta do Sol, after having been reported missing.
The Public Security Police (PSP) responded to the alert and, after forcing entry into the residence, found the man without vital signs and with a deep wound on his wrist. A bladed weapon was discovered near the body.
While the scene initially suggested suicide, the circumstances prompted an investigation by the Judicial Police (PJ). However, forensic examinations found no evidence of third-party involvement, ruling out a crime. The body was transported for an autopsy in Funchal to determine the exact cause of death.
