The Association of Professionals of the Guard/GNR and the Union Association of Police Professionals (ASPP/PSP) are holding a protest action in Funchal this Tuesday, October 20.
The initiative, part of a national movement, aims to claim better careers, remuneration, and working conditions for security force professionals. The gathering is scheduled for 6:00 PM at Largo do Colégio, under the slogan "For a safe Portugal for everyone!".
Both union structures are conducting protest actions across the country, which are expected to culminate in a national demonstration. The associations argue that these demands are directly linked to staff motivation and the quality of security provided to the public.
