The Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Micaela Fonseca de Freitas, met with the President of the Order of Nurses, Luís Filipe Barreira.
During the meeting, the official guaranteed the integration of approximately 80 nurses currently in the recruitment reserve for SESARAM's staff. This measure aims to strengthen the organization's workforce, alleviate overload in some services, and improve healthcare response in the Region.
A new tender for hiring more nurses is planned for next year. Also present at the meeting were SESARAM's Vice-President of the Board of Directors, João Vares Luís, Nursing Director José Manuel Ornelas, and the President of the Regional Section of the Order of Nurses, Teresa Espírito Santo.
