Horários do Funchal has announced an enhanced service for route 021 – Monte (via Largo da Fonte) during the festivities honoring Nossa Senhora do Monte, the Patron Saint of Madeira. This initiative aims to provide a convenient and sustainable travel option between downtown Funchal and Monte.
Reinforced services will operate on specific schedules on August 14th and 15th. On the 14th, departures for Monte run from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM on the 15th, with return trips from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM on the 15th. On the 15th, departures for Monte are from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and return trips from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Regular services for routes 020, 021, 022, and 048 will be maintained, with a Sunday/holiday schedule in effect on August 15th. All valid transport passes for route 021 are accepted. Temporary route diversions for certain lines will be in place between August 11th and 16th due to the event.
