The Imaculado Coração de Maria Parish Council hosted the official presentation of the 'Dia de Portugal' Veterans Tournament. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Council and Clube Desportivo Carvalheiro, a co-organizer.
The event also included the participation of AFC Barreiro, the invited team. The tournament was postponed due to constraints at Madeira Airport, which prevented the invited team from landing. The tournament will take place tomorrow at 4 PM at the Campo do Clube Desportivo 1.º de Maio, featuring Clube Desportivo Carvalheiro, AFC Barreiro, and Desportivo da Quinta Grande.
The importance of the initiative in promoting veteran sports and strengthening friendships between clubs was highlighted. The event will conclude with a gathering at the Clube Desportivo Carvalheiro headquarters.
