The Imaculado Coração de Maria parish council held Tradições do Imaculado on Saturday at the parish hall, bringing together folklore groups from Madeira and mainland Portugal.
The main feature was the Charneca de Pombal Folk Group, founded on 10 May 1976, which marks fifty years of continuous activity this year. The group performed traditional dances including O Beijinho, Jogo do Pau and Vira da Charneca.
The event also included the official presentation of the Imaculado Senior Folk Group, coordinated by Marco Mendonça, and a performance by the Monteverde Folk Group. It closed with a social snack for all participants.
