Missão IlhaFarma, in partnership with the Madeira Regional Nucleus of the Portuguese League Against Cancer, is holding an information session in Caniço today, October 15th.
The initiative, titled "I Have Cancer, Now What?", will take place at the auditorium of the Escola Básica dos 2.º e 3.º Ciclos do Caniço, at 9 PM.
The goal is to inform cancer patients, their families, caregivers, and the general community about patients' rights, available support, and managing expectations after a cancer diagnosis. Doctor Pedro Martins Pereira will be a guest speaker, addressing questions and existing resources to support patients throughout their illness.
