The party deems it essential to strengthen proximity policies, with the transfer of competencies and financial resources to the Porto Santo Municipal Council. Regarding mobility, it supports increasing demand for direct connections to the mainland through sustainable, higher-value tourism, coupled with enhanced promotional efforts for the island.
For economic development, Iniciativa Liberal proposes a specific tax regime for Porto Santo, inspired by the Madeira Free Trade Zone, to attract investment and create skilled employment. Concerning the Local Health Unit, it urges the swift completion of construction to improve healthcare services.
