International Sharing School – Madeira has made an investment exceeding 20 million euros in its new facilities located in the center of Funchal. The school plans to increase its capacity from 240 to 500 students, with a phased growth over the coming years.
Francisco Ladeira Santos, CEO of Sharing Education Group, highlighted this as the largest private investment in education in the Region. The restoration of the historic building was completed without financial aid, prioritizing quality for current students.
Monthly tuition fees range from 600 to 1,400 euros. The school has agreements with professional bodies and municipalities to make education more accessible to middle-class families, also benefiting from annual regional government support. Currently, approximately half of the students are Portuguese, and the school aims to maintain and expand this Madeiran component. The historic hall will be converted into a music room and multimedia lab, with completion expected by the end of the academic year, opening in September 2027.
